After her diptych Étoile & Star presented at Danae last year, Rita Frongia is back with her latest play Anna Ghiaccio, which features another outstanding performer: Isadora Angelini, actress, director and theatre author, with a degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures at the Università Ca’ Foscari in Venice and a Master’s in Acting at the University of California. She worked, among others, with César Brie, and since 2006 she’s been part of a few projects by the Libero Gruppo di Arti sceniche coordinated by Claudio Morganti.
“Anna Ghiaccio survived love.
Anna Ghiaccio can’t tell a speck of dust in the eye from a stone on the heart.
Anna is a chant in an icy silence and has a story to tell.
It is hard to judge what happened to mother and son on Mount Kukuràke, there are no witnesses but Anna Ghiaccio’s voice.
What hindered her project of glory? Who prevented the great dream of a mother from coming true? Did the devil actually get in the way? Is Anna telling the truth?
What really happened on Kukuràke that day?
What happened to our ability to be humane?”
